The 8th Day is the feature directorial debut of actress Alexandra Chando. As she explains, the film flips "the heist genre on its head and tell a story through the female gaze. The idea that greed can sometimes play a significant part in driving our decisions, takes each strong minded character on a journey to an unexpected finish line." (FirstShowing.net)
